Every year Brabyns marks Remembrance with a creative project.
This year children throughout the school decorated #BrabynsRocks with beautiful poppy designs and learned about the significance of the poppy for Armistice Day. Each class then visited Memorial Park in Marple to lay their rocks and honour the fallen men named on the cenotaph.
On 11 November at 11 am Year 6 returned to the cenotaph for a special remembrance service and to lay a wreath on behalf of the Brabyns Preparatory School family. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Father Timothy from St Martin’s Church for his poignant words to mark the occasion.
