At the end of a jam packed first week in March Brabyns can sit back and reflect on the fantastic experiences, accomplishments and opportunities that the last 7 days have offered.
Last Saturday we were preparing for our spring discovery morning. It was an absolute joy to see our Year 5 & 6 children chatting to prospective parents confidently and eloquently about their Brabyns journey and our school has never looked lovelier! We’ve had lots of lovely feedback and are looking forward to welcoming some new members to the Brabyns family.
Monday saw our Little Learners take the stage for the first time with a class assembly. They all spoke and sang beautifully, leaving Mrs Edwards & Miss Wright bursting with pride.
Tuesday was pancake day and our Little Learners had a ball helping to make their own pancakes for snack, while the rest of the school were treated to pancakes by the legendary Mrs Bailey!
Tuesday also saw our Year 3 & 4 classes paying a visit to Quarry Bank Mill to experience the life of a Victorian mill apprentice as part of this term’s history topic.
On a sunny Thursday morning Key Stage 1 children took part in a Stockport Schools cross country meet, showing some determined racing and fabulous team spirit.
Later on all of our Juniors were at The Stoller Hall in Manchester for the Bellevue Education Northern Music Festival with our friends from Edenhurst Prep School Forest Park Preparatory School and Forest Preparatory School Parents friends and family enjoyed a fabulous evening of music and the children loved their big stage moments!
To top off the week Brabyns celebrated World Book Day on Friday with a ‘bedtime stories’ theme. After all the rushing around it was a relief to get into our PJ’s and Onesies and chill out with a good book.
We think it’s fair to say that there’s never a quiet week at Brabyns but we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way!
