What a wonderful term of sport it has been; learning about gymnastics, hockey and handball during lessons. As a school, we have entered numerous competitions and been successful.
The highlights have been:-
- Football: Brabyns vs Beech Hall, we won 8-2
- Hockey: we qualified for the Stockport Hockey Championships in March.
- ISA Northern Swimming Championships: all children swam well. A huge well done to Thea, who represented Brabyns and northern schools at the National Swimming Championship Finals in London.
- Stockport Shapes swimming gala: out of 12 races we won 8, came 2nd in 3, and had a 4th position in one. Amazing swimming and standards set by the Brabyns team.
- Our cross country team has competed in 4 Saturday races. Each child has run incredibly well, getting better and better and more confident in each run.
Overall I am extremely proud of the Brabyns’ children, as well as our sporting achievements during the Autumn term. I am looking forward to the many opportunities that lie ahead in the coming terms.
