ISA Swimming Success

Posted: 2nd November 2022

On Saturday 5 November, Brabyns Preparatory School competed at the Independent Schools Association North Area Schools Swimming Gala in Macclesfield.

Our Junior Team performed admirably, displaying determination and true Brabyns spirit throughout the event, with Thea in Year 4 achieving individual success. She swam an impressive front crawl securing qualification for the U10 relay team at the ISA National Finals event at the Olympic Park in London on the 3 December.

Thea’s dedication and love of sport truly shines. Already this year she has represented Brabyns at the Saturday morning Stockport Harriers Junior Cross Country events. Outside of school, Thea trains with the acclaimed Stockport Metro Swimming Club.

Thea is “Super excited” about the upcoming finals and says that she is “counting down the days”! Thea likes lots of sports but states that swimming is her favourite.

Mrs McKenna comments; “Thea is a true credit to Brabyns’ swimming team. Her focus and determination is second to none; we are extremely proud of her feat. Everyone at Brabyns wishes Thea all the very best at the ISA National final next month”
