On 30th November, St Andrew’s Day, Year 6 discovered the joy (and complexity) of Scottish Country Dancing. They learned a few basic steps before piecing together a full set dance, ‘The Flying Scotsman.’
After a few rather ‘abstract’ attempts, and a lot of laughter, the children remembered the sequence and confidently performed it to Nursery and Reception.
Along the way we enjoyed shortbread, Irn Bru, and even a haggis, lovingly prepared for us by the wonderful Mrs Bailey!
