We were delighted to announce a grand fundraising total of £1,887.84 for our chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Care this week.
The children have worked really hard through a variety of events and sponsored challenges to raise the money which will help fund a Macmillan nurse to provide medical, practical and emotional support to patients and their families for 67 hours.
Fundraising events included a sponsored silence, book tombola, bake-off, sponsored walk and a water fight. The BPA also held two successful Macmillan Coffee Afternoons, and Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, Mrs Richardson even ‘Braved the Shave’ for this fantastic cause!
Mr Sanders, has said: “We are all incredibly proud of the children’s efforts in raising funds for such a worthy cause. Their determination and enthusiasm has exceeded our expectations, and they should all be very proud of the difference their efforts will make to the lives of people living with cancer."
Rose Tipton of Macmillan North West commented; “The amazing total of £1,887.84p that pupils and staff have raised at Brabyns Preparatory School could fund a Macmillan nurse for 67 hours. Everyone whocontributed to the great total should be very proud of themselves"
