Hello, this is EEP: Sports Captain, IW: Nursery Prefect and MM: Performing Arts Captain and we’re in Year 6 at Brabyns Preparatory School. So far this is our favourite year, and there are so many opportunities.
At the moment, we are practising for our entrance exams and the teachers are extremely helpful in preparing for them.
Aside from our academic subjects we also have lots of chances for sports too. Most mornings as Sports Captain I have to do a wake-up-shake-up, which involves getting students ready for the day ahead. I also tidy up the PE shed and organise kit for tournaments.
As Nursery Prefect, every Tuesday and Thursday I go and visit them to play and help the teachers with some jobs for the children. I fill water bottles, give them their snacks and sit with them at circle time. Sometimes, I help them get their coats on to go and play outside.
In my role as Performing Arts Captain, I have lead the warm-ups in Music lessons, helped Mr Westall decide which songs to do for the Christmas service and also I read a poem to open this year’s Harvest Festival Service.
The best things about Year 6 so far are: more responsibilities; being ‘top’ of the school and even though we work extremely hard and learn lots of things, it is fun and the teachers have good senses of humour.
