Over this half-term the children have worked incredibly hard with real focus. Whilst their achievements academically are to be commended, the children’s sustainment of their mental and physical wellbeing has been equally as important and something as a School we have strived to support.
In the spirit of spreading positivity and finding practical ways in which to help the children look after their own good mental health, it has been a pleasure to see them involving themselves in creating ‘Masked Exerciser’ videos. This has certainly added an element of fun and inclusivity for those who wished to guess which child or member of staff was performing behind the mask, as well as the obvious health benefits from being physically active. Take a look at our Masked Exerciser playlist, including a staff fruit special to finish the series of videos.
To mark Children’s Mental Health Awareness week, we performed a variety of activities with the children. Some staff also were busy in the kitchen sharing recipes with the children that they could make at home. We hope, if you haven't already, you take the opportunity to make one (or maybe them all) of these over half-term and beyond.
Educating and caring for all aspects of the children’s lives is something that underpins the Brabyns ethos, as we endeavour to ensure they achieve and thrive as happy individuals.
