There was a warm, family atmosphere at our recent EYFS Grandparents' event, with over 40 family members attending the afternoon. It provided the children and staff with the opportunity to show gratitude for all the care and support that the grandparents give. In addition to this, it taught the children the importance of mutual respect and the chance to proudly show off their independent work in their classrooms. This helped the grandparents to gain insight into how education has changed since they were at School.
A wide range of activities were on offer for the children to collaboratively learn and develop skills, including preparing afternoon tea refreshments, giving School tours (with their Year 5 Buddies), performing and even creating winter crafts. This definitely enhanced the children’s confidence and illustrated how much progress the children have made in just over one School term.

Thank you to everyone who attended!
