Brabyns Preparatory School

In Year 5 we have been thinking about the word empathy and how it is important in society.  The children have been discussing different emotions, and how it can be difficult to put oneself in another’s shoes.

Additionally, we have been discussing the need to be able to concentrate quietly and independently for longer periods of time now that the children are beginning their preparations for the transition into Secondary School.  As the children equip themselves for longer tests and examinations the quality and presentation of their work is equally important.

Here, the children practised their presentation skills quietly and independently using a poem about kindness as their focus.
