Four weeks into term and we are already plotting, planning and preparing for some super exciting and barnstorming performances to entertain our lucky audiences this year.
At Brabyns we encourage all children to be bitten by the performing bug so that they can stand up confidently in front of an audience and express themselves freely. From these hugely beneficial experiences our pupils can soar to new heights of achievement, in their Music and Drama, but across their whole School life.
The very first steps have already been achieved. Every child has performed a solo in front of their class and we’ve also had auditions for the Chamber Choir. We can now look forward to a myriad of opportunities including: Our lunch-time concerts, Hot spots in Performing Arts sessions, A Harvest Festival of singing, busking for our local community, singing for the elderly, Nativities, Christmas Concerts and we even take advantage of giving prospective parents an impromptu performance if they pop into a lesson or club.
We are always looking for new opportunities to perform. Any big events on the horizon? I know our choirs would be only too happy to oblige!
