An engaging curriculum is something we are very proud of providing at Brabyns. The opportunities we are able to offer the children to inspire them are numerous; from the day-to-day lessons enhanced with that little twist to spark imagination, to the visitors who come in to School to educate and inspire the children, and the trips we take to bring School topics to life.
As our Inspection report states: “Pupils are consistently enthusiastic about their teachers and their enjoyment of lessons, and respond to the School's rich curricular and extra-curricular offerings with enthusiasm."
This week I had one of my regular walks around School, and to highlight this a “snap-shot” of one particular day looked like this:
All this on top of the clubs of the day – Gymnastics, Library Skills, Ballet, Woodwork, Football, Maths, the Year 6 children practising for the School Play, and a Year 6 assembly – wow, how amazing they were!
It really is a pleasure to be involved with such forward thinking staff who continue to provide the very best opportunities for the children and take advantage of every learning moment to make it both beneficial and enjoyable.
Half a year on from our outstanding inspection report it is great for me to witness every day what those inspectors found on their visit to Brabyns. From a personal point of view it really does make my job so enjoyable and rewarding.
