One part of our Outstanding Inspection report from July 2017 states ‘Pupils achieve very well as the school greatly cares about each child, and provides excellent teaching and additional support when it is needed.’
Along with our small class sizes we are very fortunate to have a range of adults to support the children in small groups and individually.
In Year 2 recently, we had the children working with the class teacher, student teacher, learning assistant, one-to-one learning support and a parent helper. Wow – 14 children and 5 adults, what fabulous way to support our children in reaching their full potential through individual learning and support.
In addition to the learning support that they offer to all the children, the adults also really support the emotional and nurturing aspects of having adults in the class that have the time to guide them, support them and take time to talk to them.
